Description

The Centre des Monuments Nationaux collaborated with the artist Philippe Biancotto to create a photograph featuring a iconic object from Villa Savoye: Le Corbusier's famous LC2 chair, reproduced in ice for the exhibition. Limited edition prints, numbered and signed by Philippe Biancotto.

The artist appropriated Le Corbusier's Villa Savoye to showcase its exceptional architecture and furniture during the "Ready-Melts" exhibition. By paying homage to the Ready-mades in a Pop-art fashion, the "Ready-Melts" exhibition transforms manufactured products that have reached iconic status into perishable ice sculptures.
