La Monnaie de Paris is the oldest French institution and one of the oldest companies in the world! It is the historic manufacturer of official decorations and grand orders, such as the Légion d'honneur and the Ordre national du Mérite. It is the last remaining art foundry in Paris, and has been awarded the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" label for its historic craftsmanship of excellence.
