Description
This bust of George Sand was sculpted from a photo taken in 1864 by the famous portrait painter Félix Tournachon, known as Nadar (1820-1910). Moreover, an excellent photo retoucher, Nadar corrected his model's glass clichés, scratching them in places with a stylus then enhancing them with a brush, in order to reduce wrinkles and dark circles, but also to accentuate the line of the eyebrows. It is this model thus softened that our partner "Histoire à la carte" modeled in 3D, to then concretize it by milling in polyurethane, then to mold the head of series thus obtained to draw from it statuettes in resin loaded with powder. of marble, patinated one by one by hand.
