Hôtel de la Marine

An emblematic monument of the Place de la Concorde, the Hôtel de la Marine is a superb architectural ensemble created in the 18th century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, First Architect to the King. Until 1798 it housed the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne before becoming, for more than two hundred years, the seat of the Ministry of the Navy. A unique monument in the heart of Paris with its refurnished 18th century apartments, staterooms and restaurants in a building completely restored by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux.
