Jules Pansu
Jules Pansu: over 140 years of expertise, innovation and history in the purest tradition of French tapestry
The Maison Pansu manufacturing workshops, Les Tissages de la Lys, are located in Halluin, in the Hauts-de-France region. Since 2012, they have been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label, a state recognition that promotes excellence in craftsmanship and industrial know-how.
The textiles produced by Pansu are woven on looms equipped with Jacquard mechanisms. This technique allows for the creation of highly complex patterns, using up to 12,000 warp threads, each of which is activated individually. The precise interweaving of these threads with the weft and binding threads offers an infinite variety of weave effects, giving the fabrics their depth and subtlety.
